A witch is usually described as having green skin, warts and a long, crooked nose. They are evil women who bring back spirits and make magic potions in cauldrons to use on people. They are often seen with black cats, rats, spell books and a large metal cauldron atop a fire. The moon and stars are seen in the night sky every night, but on Halloween it isn’t unusual to see a red moon, also known as a “harvest” moon. Red moons are spooky to small children and are used to scare them during the spookiest night of the year.
